Overview

Closed loop geothermal providing Hydronic inscreed heating and cooling for baseload comfort conditions with additional Fan Coils for peak cooling days. The owner wanted to minimise the use of fan coils and forced air movenment hence the control strategy was designed to proritised use of the inscreed system for both heating and cooling modes. Fan coils only activated if room set point is exceed by more than 2 deg C. Source energy was provided by 3 x 60m deep Coaxial geothermal probes.

Enertec Scope

Detailed thermal modelling and geothermal closed loop heat exchanger design, schematic design selection of all equipment and supply of construction issue drawings. Installation was completed by Perth Environmental plumbing, the end result was a system capable of providing year-round heating and cooling but significantly cheaper to run than and air source system. Additionally the resulting system is virtually noise free and could be installed in a plant room out of sight.
